1. Who we are

Dai is a private AI-powered diary app based in Belgium. Contact: hello@hey-dai.com

2. What data we collect

• Your email address (for authentication)
• Your diary entries and chat messages (stored privately and only accessible to you)
• Photos you upload
• Profile information you provide (name, birthday, interests, etc.)

3. How we use your data

• To provide the diary and AI conversation features
• To generate summaries of your day using AI
• Your diary content is private and only accessible to you — we do not read or access your personal entries
• We never sell your data to third parties
• We never use your data to train AI models

4. Third-party services

• Supabase — stores your data securely in the EU
• OpenAI — processes your diary text to generate AI responses and summaries. OpenAI does not use this data for training.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

• Access: You can view all your diary entries and photos in the app at any time
• Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all data via Profile → Delete my account

6. Data retention

We store your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed within 24 hours.

7. Age requirement

Dai is intended for users aged 16 and older, in accordance with GDPR requirements in Belgium.
